Welcome To Spur ISD

Spur ISD is located in Spur, TX, Dickens County. School enrollment is 307 students, Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grades. The district serves Spur, McAdoo, and a portion of Dickens.

Sophomores Collecting Supplies for Post Elementary School

The sophomore class of Spur High School is sponsoring a community service project to collect teaching and school supplies for the Post Elementary School that was destroyed in a recent fire. Everyone is welcome in participating in this collection drive. Donations may be turned in at the high school office during the week of September 29-October 3.

Gifted/Talented Program Nominations

Spur ISD is now accepting nominations for students in grades 3-12 who may need Gifted/Talented Services. This program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level not normally served in the regular classroom. Services are provided only upon identification of educational needs of the student. Anyone wishing to nominate a student attending Spur ISD in third through twelfth grades can find the nomination form on the Spur ISD website or you can pick one up from the campus offices.  Forms for fall GT testing are due back by October 10, 2014.  You may either email the completed form to or you may return it to the campus offices.  If you have any questions please call Dee Anne Bentancourt at 271-4531. 

Student Lunch Charges

Lunches can be pre-paid a week or more in advance in the school cafeteria between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. Monday-Friday.

New Health Alerts

Information concerning new health alerts in Texas about measles and pertussis have been posted on the Health Notes page found on the Parents page of this web site. Check there regularly for more information as it is posted about any health issues concerning the district.

Bus Route Schedule

To begin the year, Spur ISD will offer bus service on the same time schedule as last year. If you are new to the district or you have moved to a new location please contact Transportation Director, Randall Moore, with your address so transportation can be arranged for your children. Pre- K students living outside the city limits of Spur are eligible for mid-day transportation.
