Junior High District Cross Country will be held in Swenson park today.
The JH Girls run at 4:15 followed by the JH Boys at 4:45. Due to student athletes from district schools coming to walk the course, the entrances to Swenson Park(by Allsups and Jones Stadium) will be blocked off by 3:15pm. Should be reopened by 5:15. Thank you Spur ISD

This week was Red Ribbon Week which is a week dedicated to learning about saying NO to drugs! Epic Entertainment came today and put on a program for both Elementary and Secondary students. The games were fun but also taught lessons such as teamwork and having consequences for your actions. Thanks Epic Entertainment for a fun program and helping our students learn how important it is to say no to drugs!

Spur ISD will resume classes on normal schedule Thursday 10-29-2020. We are thankful for all the hard working men and woman that cleared our roads and got our electricity going again. Thanks for working hard for our community.
Roads seem to be in pretty good shape but we have no electricity at the school. After talking with AEP guys working this morning they do not feel they can get us up and running by 10 so we are canceling school today October 28,2020.
Spur ISD will have a 10:00am start time on Wednesday, October 28,2020. We will monitor weather overnight and will let you know if there are any changes as early as possible.

We have driven roads this morning. Wet around Spur and some build up/ slushy areas but roadways were mainly wet. Roads were checked between 5 and 5:30 Conditions could always change. Please drive carefully.
Yesterday was the 1st 6 Weeks AR party for qualifying students who met their AR goal in grades 1st-5th. It's always a fun way to reward the students for working so hard and Ms. Smith does a great job planning it!
The varsity football team will be leaving at 2:30 for the game against Northside on Friday. We will have a send-off between the HS and Elementary buildings at 2:20.
